SocietyConnect is a private technology platform operated as a Sahaj Connect initiative. We are NOT a government body, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the Registrar of Societies, any State or Central Government department, or any statutory authority. We do not use any government emblem, seal, or name, in compliance with the Emblems and Names (Prevention of Improper Use) Act, 1950.
The society-registration documents produced by our document service (Memorandum of Association, meeting proceedings, affidavits, declarations, etc.) are DRAFTS assembled from the information the applicant provides. They are templates for convenience only and do not constitute legal advice. Requirements vary by district and change over time — applicants must verify current requirements with the Registrar of Societies and are encouraged to consult an advocate or professional before filing. We do not guarantee that any application will be accepted by any authority.
Whether a society is registered is decided solely by the Registrar of Societies / competent authority. Our verification and approval of an application refers only to completeness of the generated documents on our platform, not to any government approval.
Compliance calendars, checklists, scores, and reminders in the platform are informational aids based on generally applicable rules. They are not exhaustive and not a substitute for professional advice from a chartered accountant or advocate. Each society remains solely responsible for its own statutory compliance.
Donations made through society pages settle directly into the receiving society's own bank/UPI account. SocietyConnect does not collect, hold, pool, or route donation funds. Tax-exemption receipts (e.g. 80G) are issued under the receiving society's own registrations; donors should verify a society's credentials before giving.
Each society controls its own website content, posts, and records. Views expressed on society websites are those of the respective society, not of SocietyConnect. Report unlawful content to hello@sahajconnect.in and we will act promptly in accordance with the IT Act and applicable intermediary rules.
